Identification of Two Bacillus Strains with Antimicrobial Activity and Preliminary Evaluation of Their Biocontrol Efficiency

Cabbage Fusarium Wilt (CFW) is a serious disease caused by oxysporum f. sp. conglutinans in many parts of the world. The use chemical fungicides has placed heavy burden on environment and prone to drug resistance plant pathogens. As method with great potential, biological control attracted attention academics both at home abroad. In this study, we have found that strains B5 B6 had strong inhibitory effect various pathogens significantly inhibited mycelium growth. They were identified as Bacillus velezensis morphological features, biochemical determinations, 16S rRNA gene gyrA sequence analysis. When different concentrations bacterial suspension applied cabbage seeds, hypocotyl taproot length increased varying degrees. vivo results showed decreased incidence seedling wilt disease, performing better. Furthermore, B. ability colonize plants rhizosphere soil. Thus, strain potential for biocontrol development research could lead promising agent CFW.
